The Dragon Fruit can be found in southern China, where I first tasted it while traveling to meet my daughter. The Dragon Fruit is beautiful but surprising, completely different outside and in, with a taste that somehow combines banana and watermelon. Its other name, pitaya, can be translated "thing whose fruit is sour," which would also be a good name for the blog. ;)
Our original name was "Sam and David's China Adoption Adventures," but that was September 2005 when we were about to become parents for the first time, and two years later, the scope of the blog has expanded. I discuss parenting and adoption, but I also like to review stuff (movies, books, shows) and rant on various topics under the umbrella heading "Reasons Why My Life is Weirder Than Other People's."
